this talk: is about grief, support groups & changing behaviours - with Ben May

Ben May, co-founded The New Normal Charity, a charity that aims to support adults through grief and with their mental health and well-being. In his vlog he discusses two moment in his life that helped him take notice of his own mental health and ultimately set him on the path to launch TNN with his friend Jack & James. Plus he speaks about the core of his learning from those two experiences, and how they shaped the fundamentals on which they carry forward with TNN.

The breakdown of a relationship led to behaviours including verbal abuse, that resulted in Ben looking inward to the person he was becoming & toxic masculinity. He found refuge with a support group & therapy and learned about the power of talking and healthy forms of communication.

Following his father’s diagnosis with a terminal brain tumour, Ben co-founded TNN to help others navigate through ‘life’s difficult moments’.
