this talk: is about working as a frontline Covid nurse - with Emma Bridge

Emma Bridge is a newly qualified Nurse, working on the frontline during the Covid-19 pandemic. Having qualified shortly before being thrown in the deep end working on Covid wards, Emma never predicted the extent to which her mental strength would be tested.

Emma talks about the guilt she feels every time she loses a patient to the disease, and the risk of PTSD for frontline workers that comes with watching patients die everyday.

She hopes that people will treat frontline workers with kindness and understanding and recognise that they too are humans. Despite all the protective equipment, they have not only been physically effected by the disease, but face massive mental health impacts as a result.
